Hurricane season in the Atlantic began June 1st and ends November 30th

The District works directly with the National Hurricane Center and Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management during the hurricane season.

Latest Updates on Hurricane Matthew:

Miami- Dade County Public Schools facilities assessment teams and principals
began inspecting all of our schools and facilities early Friday morning. Those assessments have been completed.

Thorough inspections have confirmed that all of our schools are safe and secure and that the District is ready to welcome students and staff back to school on Monday, October 10th.
